ARA-----------------------A 29-year-old man passed away on Friday morning in Ugna village, located within the jurisdiction of the Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district, after his health suddenly deteriorated. Upon receiving the news, police from the Jagdishpur station arrived at the scene. They took custody of the body and sent it to the Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Following the procedure, the body was handed over to the family. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.

According to the information received, the deceased has been identified as Basant Kumar Mishra, son of Vashishtha Narayan Mishra, a resident of Ugna village. The incident has left the family in a state of deep shock and mourning. Meanwhile, the deceased’s father, Vashishtha Narayan Mishra, stated that his son was a heavy substance user. According to him, Basant Kumar Mishra’s health suddenly deteriorated significantly on October 28. His family took him to Patna for medical treatment, and after the treatment, they brought him back home to the village.

According to the family, Basant Kumar Mishra’s condition worsened again at home on Friday morning, leading to his death. The family then informed the local police station about the incident. The police arrived at the scene and initiated the necessary procedures.

The deceased’s father attributed his son’s death to excessive substance use and illness. However, the death review report prepared by the police does not specify a clear cause of death. The police have stated that the actual cause of the young man’s death will only be determined once the post-mortem report is received.

It is reported that Basant Kumar Mishra was the third of four children—having two brothers and two sisters. His surviving family includes his mother, Manorama Devi; his sisters, Chandrakali Devi and Madhu Kumari; and his brother, Mukesh Mishra. The family is devastated and inconsolable following his death.
