ARA----------------------------The District-Level Youth Festival 2026 was grandly organized today at Nagari Pracharini Sabha, Arrah, under the joint aegis of the Department of Art and Culture, Bihar (Patna), and the District Administration of Bhojpur. The event was graced by the District Magistrate of Bhojpur, Manesh Kumar Meena, as the Chief Guest, and the Superintendent of Police of Bhojpur, Awadhesh Dixit, as the Guest of Honour.

Speaking on the occasion, the District Magistrate commended the organization of the Youth Festival, noting that such events provide a vital platform for young people to showcase their talents, creativity, and cultural interests. He encouraged the youth to continuously refine their arts and skills, urging them to bring laurels to both the district and the state.

Participants from across the district took part with great enthusiasm in various cultural and creative categories, including group folk dance, group folk singing, painting, poetry writing, and street plays (nukkad natak). Through their exceptional performances, the participants effectively highlighted Bihar’s rich folk culture, traditions, and social concerns.

Those who secured the first and second positions in the various categories of the festival will be selected to represent Bhojpur district at the state-level Youth Festival. This will provide the district’s talented youth with an opportunity to demonstrate their artistic abilities at the state level.

During the event, a pledge-taking ceremony was also held as part of the 'Drug-Free Bihar' (Nasha-mukt Bihar) campaign, aimed at raising awareness among the youth and the general public about the adverse consequences of substance abuse. The officials, participants, and the audience present took a pledge to abstain from drugs themselves and to play an active role in making society drug-free.

The event was attended by several senior officials from various departments—including the Officer on Special Duty (OSD), the Civil Surgeon, the District Art and Culture Officer, the Assistant Commissioner of Prohibition, and the District Manager of the State Food Corporation—along with other distinguished guests. The district-level youth festival served as a significant initiative aimed at encouraging the talent of young people, preserving and promoting art and culture, and fostering social awareness. The event saw the participation of a large number of contestants, art enthusiasts, and spectators.
