ILLEGAL BAR BUSTED, MOTHER AND SON ARRESTED

ARA------------------------In a continuing crackdown on illegal alcohol sales across dry Bihar, the police raided a residential house in Bihiya and busted an illicit home-based liquor trade operating for several months. Foreign liquor and beer cans smuggled from Uttar Pradesh were seized, surprisingly concealed inside the family's refrigerator.

Police arrested a mother-son duo on the spot for running the contraband trade out of their residence.

Acting on specific intelligence regarding the illegal sale of prohibited liquor from a residential property, a police team conducted a raid on the house in Bihiya.

Authorities arrested the mother-son duo managing the illicit operation on-site.

During the search, police recovered bottles of foreign liquor and beer cans kept chilled inside the domestic refrigerator.

Initial investigation revealed that the liquor was routinely brought into Bihar from neighboring Uttar Pradesh and sold to local customers straight from their home over the past several months.

An FIR has been lodged under relevant sections of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act. Both accused have been sent to judicial custody, and police are investigating the supply chain to identify key intermediaries who brought the UP liquor across state borders.
