ARA----------------------------In a swift law enforcement operation aimed at curbing violent crime and illegal firearms in Bhojpur district, the Bihiya police foiled a major theft and criminal plot late Sunday night in the Bihiya Industrial Area.

Acting on confidential intelligence regarding suspicious activity near an under-construction facility close to Tipura Colony, a tactical police team launched a targeted raid. The operation resulted in the arrest of an armed miscreant caught roaming the locality while actively plotting a burglary at a nearby industrial unit.

The arrested suspect has been identified as Krishna Kumar Singh (28), a resident of the area. During the search, police seized an illegal country-made pistol (desi katta), three live cartridges, and a mobile phone from his possession.

While Krishna Kumar Singh was apprehended on the spot, two of his associates managed to evade capture and fled into the darkness upon seeing the police team approach. Senior officers confirmed that both fleeing accomplices have been identified, and dedicated search parties have been formed to track down their hideouts across the industrial belt.

Following the recovery, an FIR was registered against Krishna Kumar Singh and his absconding associates at the Bihiya police station under relevant sections of the Arms Act.

Investigators are currently subjecting the suspect to detailed interrogation to trace the backward linkages of the illegal firearm—specifically determining how and from whom he procured the country-made pistol and ammunition. Furthermore, police are cross-referencing his profile against recent unsolved theft cases and commercial burglaries reported across the Hathimi and Bihiya industrial regions.

·       Accused: Krishna Kumar Singh (28), resident of the local area.

·       Seizures: 1 Country-made pistol (desi katta), 3 live rounds of ammunition, 1 mobile handset.

·       Location of Action: Near Tipura Colony, Bihiya Industrial Area (Bhojpur District).

·       Current Status: Accused remanded into custody; active raids ongoing to capture two fleeing associates.
