ARA---------------------------Blindly trusting Google Map can sometimes become a problem. A similar case was seen in Ekvana village of Badhara block of Bhojpur district.

A truck carrying jaggery from Maharashtra to Chapra reached ward number five of the village following the route shown by Google Map. While trying to move ahead, the truck got stuck at such a place that another truck had to be called to rescue it.

A huge quantity of jaggery was loaded on the truck. The village road was slippery due to intermittent rains for the last few days.

The heavy vehicle lost its balance on the weak road and slipped and got stuck in a pothole on the side. After this, traffic on the village road was disrupted. The problems of the villagers also increased while trying to remove the truck.

Truck driver Billu Khan, resident of Alwar, Rajasthan, told that he was going to Chapra with jaggery from Maharashtra. Google Map had shown him a good road about 500 meters ahead of the village.

With this confidence, he took the truck and entered Ekvana village. But the condition of the road was not known. After moving some distance, the heavy truck slipped and got stuck in a pit.

According to the driver, the other vehicle was about 15 kilometers away from the spot. He was called to the spot. After this, the jaggery was removed from the stuck truck and loaded on another vehicle. After the goods were emptied, the truck could be moved off the road.

Villager Kumar Paswan said that the drain pipes of many houses were damaged when the truck entered the village. The platforms built in front of the doors of the houses were also broken.

The villagers' road was blocked due to the truck getting stuck. People also faced a lot of trouble in commuting by bicycle and bike.
