ARA---------------------------Two sisters, raised in a rural environment, have reached a milestone through their hard work and strong determination—a feat that has become a source of pride for their entire village. Jyoti Pandey and Chandni Pandey, hailing from the small village of Dilmanpur—located in the remote 'diyara' (riverine) region of the Shahpur block—have carved a niche for themselves in the medical field.
Both sisters completed their early education in village schools. Despite having limited resources, they succeeded in a challenging examination like NEET and fulfilled their dream of becoming doctors. Their achievement has brought great joy not only to their family but to the entire region.
Jyoti Pandey, the elder daughter of Dilmanpur residents Dhananjay Pandey and Manju Devi, began her education while living in the village. Through hard work and dedication, she completed her MBBS degree in 2018.
She secured a rank of 38,411 in the NEET examination. Following this, she decided to pursue a career in medicine. Through persistent effort, she completed her MD in Medicine in 2025.
Jyoti Pandey earned her MD in Medicine degree from the Government Medical College, Hardoi. Her journey—from growing up in a rural area to becoming a specialist physician—was far from easy.
However, the support of her family and her own unwavering commitment to her goal kept her moving forward. Today, her achievement is a matter of great pride for her family. Jyoti’s success has also set a new example for other young women in the village.
Following in the footsteps of her elder sister, Jyoti, the younger sister, Chandni Pandey, also ventured into the medical field. In 2022, Chandni secured a rank of 41,223 in the NEET examination.
Subsequently, she gained admission to an MBBS program. She is currently in the final stage of completing her medical studies. It is expected that she will obtain her MBBS degree within about five months.
The story of these two sisters is remarkable because they began their education in a rural setting, attending village schools. Even without the amenities available in large cities, they never compromised on their goals. Throughout their studies, they drew strength from their own hard work and dedication, as well as the encouragement of their family. This is why both sisters are now carving out a distinct identity for themselves in the medical field.
The success of Jyoti and Chandni has brought pride not only to Dilmanpur but also to the surrounding villages. Their achievement has become a great source of inspiration for other girls living in rural areas.
Their story demonstrates that success does not depend solely on being in a big city or having access to expensive resources. If one has a clear goal and remains consistently hardworking, it is possible to achieve grand dreams even while starting from a village.
Their parents, Dhananjay Pandey and Manju Devi, are overjoyed by their daughters' success. Throughout their education, they provided constant encouragement and motivated them to keep moving forward.
Today, one daughter has become a doctor, having earned an MD in Medicine, while the other is on the verge of completing her MBBS. Their achievements have not only fulfilled the family's dreams but have also brought honor to the entire village.
