CRITICAL PATIENT DATA FROM AMBULANCES TO CONTROL ROOM FOR IMMEDIATE BED ALLOCATION
-To ensure timely medical care for emergency patients across the state, ambulance services are being integrated directly with hospital emergency systems. Under this initiative, 102 and 108 ambulance services are being merged into a unified network. This setup will allow real-time transmission of a patient's vital health parameters directly from the ambulance to a central control center. Based on real-time bed availability in nearby hospitals, critical patients can be routed straight to an appropriate facility—eliminating delays and preventing patients from being shuttled from one hospital to another. The service is expected to benefit the public within the next one to two months.

The Health Department's technical cell has initiated software development to link the asset referral system with emergency response services. Dashboards are being developed to capture vital parameters—such as blood pressure, pulse rate, and oxygen levels—inside the ambulance and stream them live to the control center.
The Health Minister has directed a pilot rollout at four major medical centers in Patna: PMCH, AIIMS Patna, NMCH, and IGIMS. Real-time vacant bed counts will be updated using a QR-code-based bed management system. Additionally, kiosks installed in ambulances will transmit both bed availability and live patient locations directly to hospital administrators.
The Command Control Center will create a seamless loop connecting ambulances, hospitals, and referral systems. Furthermore, plans are underway to integrate the 104 helpline with e-Sanjeevani to bolster telemedicine services.
The initiative emphasizes utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to analyze patient health data, enabling faster clinical decisions and ensuring patients reach the right specialist care without critical delays.
