800 YOUTHS SHORTLISTED BY COMPANIES AT JOB FAIR

BUXAR--------------------------A one-day Job-cum-Vocational Guidance Fair organized by the District Employment Office was held at the Combined Labour Building, ITI Campus in Charitravan, Buxar. The fair saw significant turnout from job seekers, with 25 private companies offering over 1,000 vacant posts.

A total of 1,555 candidates submitted their resumes, out of which participating companies shortlisted 800 youths in the initial phase, with some recruiters distributing spot offer letters to selected candidates on the spot.

The event was inaugurated with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by dignitaries and officials. MLA Anand Mishra addressed the attendees, encouraging youths to make full use of such employment drives and explore self-employment opportunities alongside regular jobs.

Apart from direct job recruitment, four dedicated guidance stalls were set up to educate candidates on self-employment programs and entrepreneurship. A total of 134 candidates received career guidance through these stalls.

To boost self-employment initiatives, toolkits were distributed among 17 candidates, alongside study kits for job seekers.

District Employment Officer Pranav Prateek announced that the next Job Fair is scheduled to take place on December 28. Interested candidates can apply online through the Bihar Rojgar Setu portal.
