ARA---------------------------On Saturday afternoon, near Bilauti village—within the jurisdiction of the Shahpur police station—a speeding dumper truck struck a couple traveling on a motorcycle on the Ara-Buxar four-lane highway. In this heart-wrenching accident, the husband, who was driving the motorcycle, died on the spot, while his wife sustained critical injuries and is now fighting for her life.

According to reports, this heartbreaking incident occurred near Bilauti village, under the Shahpur police station area in Bhojpur district. The deceased, Sujit Kumar Pandey (45), was a resident of Pandeypur village (within the Shahpur police station area) and the son of the late Hridayanand Pandey. A dedicated priest by profession, he supported his family by performing religious rituals in the region. His sudden and untimely death has sent a wave of shock and grief throughout the area.

Sunil Kumar Pandey, a cousin of the deceased, stated that Sujit Kumar Pandey was traveling from Shahpur toward Bihiya on a motorcycle with his wife, Munni Devi. As they reached near Bilauti village, an out-of-control dumper truck struck them from behind.

The impact was so severe that Sujit Kumar Pandey died on the spot, while his wife, Munni Devi, sustained serious injuries. Upon receiving information about the accident, local police arrived at the scene to manage the situation. Taking swift action, the police secured the body and, after completing the necessary legal formalities, sent it to Sadar Hospital in Ara for a post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, the critically injured Munni Devi was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment under the care of doctors. She has a son, Siddhant Pandey, and a daughter, Sonakshi Pandey. Upon receiving news of the incident, her family members were left inconsolable and immediately rushed to both the scene of the incident and the hospital.
