BHABHUA---------------------------A trailer truck driver was critically injured in a road accident on National Highway-19, near Kalka Hotel in Dhanechha, under the jurisdiction of the Durgawati police station, around 9:00 AM on Friday. The incident occurred on the southern lane near a petrol pump, where a trailer truck—traveling from the direction of Durgawati towards Karmanasa—slammed into another trailer that was already parked there.

The injured driver has been identified as Sonu Yadav, aged approximately 30, a resident of Kharadi village under the Chand police station area. The impact was so severe that the front portion of the moving trailer was extensively damaged, leaving the driver trapped inside the vehicle.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Durgawati police and an NHAI patrolling team arrived at the scene. After a strenuous effort, the door of the trailer was cut open using a specialized cutter, and the driver was extracted. He sustained severe injuries to his legs.

The injured driver was subsequently taken to the Durgawati Community Health Centre. Following initial treatment, doctors—noting the critical nature of his condition—referred him to a higher medical center for advanced care.
