BHABHUA----------------------------Criminals have posed a challenge to the police by carrying out a daylight robbery within the jurisdiction of the Chainpur police station. Two unidentified men on a motorcycle snatched a bag containing Rs 1 lakh from an elderly man who was heading to Hata Bazaar after withdrawing the cash from the State Bank of India (SBI) branch in Chainpur, and then fled the scene. The incident reportedly took place around 12:00 PM.

According to the information received, the victim, Ramji Singh, is a resident of village Majhui (under the Chainpur police station, Kaimur district). He stated that he had withdrawn Rs 1 lakh from the State Bank of India in Chainpur and was traveling to Hata Bazaar in an e-rickshaw. Near Balaji Mart, past Daitra Baba, a passenger began to get off the e-rickshaw. At that moment, two men on a motorcycle approached from the front, snatched the bag containing the money from his hand, and sped away.

Following the incident, the victim informed the local authorities. Upon receiving the information, the Chainpur police arrived at the scene, inspected the area, and initiated an investigation.
