LOCAL MP INAUGURATED THE FOB

ARA--------------------------The long-standing struggle, agitation, and much-awaited demand of the people of Ara reached a significant milestone today. The newly constructed foot overbridge at the Eastern Railway level crossing was inaugurated by Ara MP Comrade Sudama Prasad. A large number of local residents, social activists, and leaders and workers of the CPI(ML) were present on the occasion.

Those in attendance included CPI(ML) District Secretary Abhyudaya, Agiaon MLA Shivprakash Ranjan, CPI(ML) leader and Ara Assembly constituency in-charge Vijay Ojha, City Secretary Sudhir Singh, Sangeet Singh, Rajnath Ram, the MP’s personal assistants Chandan Kumar and Suraj Kumar, and AISA leader Roshan Kushwaha, among hundreds of others. The event was moderated by Dilraj Pritam, the CPI(ML) district office secretary.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, MP Sudama Prasad stated that the construction of the foot overbridge at the Eastern Railway level crossing is not merely the building of a bridge, but a victory for the people who had long struggled against the frequent closure of the railway gate and the resulting difficulties in movement. Thousands of residents from the 52 'Tapa' villages and the city of Ara will find great relief through this overbridge. People will now be largely spared the daily hardships they previously faced while crossing the railway tracks.

He noted that the public had raised their voices, struggled, and maintained consistent pressure to ensure their legitimate demands were met. It is the result of this public struggle and the persistent efforts of their elected representatives that this dream has finally become a reality. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to the people of the region.

The MP emphasized that ignoring the basic needs of the public and leaving them to grapple with problems for years is, under no circumstances, acceptable. "I have raised the voice of the people everywhere—from the streets to the floor of Parliament," he said. When the public unites and struggles for their demands, those in power and the established system are ultimately compelled to become accountable to those demands. This foot overbridge stands as a symbol of such collective struggle and public unity.

In conclusion, he stated that this is not the achievement of any single individual or elected representative, but rather a victory for all those who kept this demand alive over the years and fought for it.
