BHABHUA---------------------------A case of encroachment has come to light at the Primary School in Lohra, located in the Chainpur block of the district. Villagers allege that livestock are tied at the school’s main gate, cow-dung cakes are dried on the premises, and mustard is stored on the roof. These activities are disrupting the children's education. Distressed by this situation, dozens of villagers have submitted a formal request to Kaimur District Magistrate (DM) Kumar Anurag, urging him to take action.
According to the villagers, the school’s main gate, the grounds, and the roof are all being used for private purposes. Keeping livestock and storing cow-dung cakes on the school premises causes significant inconvenience to the children. Furthermore, the use of the roof to dry mustard further hinders the school's operations. The villagers have demanded that the administration remove the encroachment and ensure proper arrangements for the children's education.
The villagers state that the land currently occupied by the Primary School in Lohra is not owned by the Bihar government but is, in fact, private land. The individual who originally donated the land for the school later sold the same plot to three or four other people. The villagers allege that a dispute over the land has led to its encroachment, which is negatively affecting the academic environment of the school.
The villagers point out that there is approximately one acre and 30 decimals of land owned by the Bihar government available nearby. They suggest that the school building should be relocated to this government-owned land, which would allow the children's education to continue without interruption and resolve the issues stemming from the ongoing land dispute.
Umesh Kumar Yadav and Roshan Kumar Yadav, residents of Lohra village, state that several individuals have encroached upon the primary school's land. They allege that these individuals, claiming ownership of the land, tie their livestock at the school's main gate, place cow-dung cakes on the grounds, and dry mustard on the roof. This hinders the children's education.
According to the villagers, an application regarding this issue has already been submitted to the Chainpur Circle Officer. Now, the villagers have requested the District Magistrate to intervene and resolve the matter. They suggest that the school be constructed on available government land nearby, so that the children can have a better environment for their studies.
