BUXAR-------------------------An e-waste collection drive was organized at the Urdu Primary School in Khiri, located in the Rajpur block, to promote environmental conservation and the safe management of electronic waste. During the event, students were educated about the adverse effects of e-waste and the importance of its proper disposal. Additionally, awareness activities and a quiz competition were held during the assembly session.
As part of the campaign, children brought old and defunct electronic devices from their homes to the school. Items such as keyboards, mice, chargers, cables, and other forms of electronic waste were collected in a black bin placed at the school.
Teachers explained to the students that disposing of electronic waste along with regular trash can harm the environment and human health. Therefore, it should be collected separately and sent to an authorized collection or recycling center. Children were also advised against attempting to open or dismantle old electronic devices themselves.
Through the quiz competition held during the assembly, the students' knowledge was assessed, and they were encouraged to fulfill their responsibilities toward environmental conservation.
Present on this occasion were Headmaster Dhananjay, Senior Teacher Saulat Mahmood Khan, and teachers Mohammad Jamshed Alam, Shamshad Alam, Javed Khan, and Gaurav Yaduvanshi.
