ARA--------------------------The second day of the 777th annual Urs of Hazrat Syed Shah Sharafuddin Yahya Maneri (Rahmatullah Alaih)—reverently known as Makhdoom Baba—the Dargah complex in Bihiya witnessed a remarkable display of faith. From the early morning, devotees began arriving to offer *chadars* (ceremonial cloth coverings) and pay their respects—a process that continued until late in the evening. A massive crowd gathered at the Dargah, where people offered *chadars* at the *mazar* (shrine) of Makhdoom Baba and prayed for the fulfillment of their wishes.
The participation of women in the Urs was also noteworthy. A large number of women arrived to pray for relief from physical ailments, better health, and the well-being of their families. They sought the removal of their sorrows and hardships, wishing for happiness and prosperity in their lives. Devotees believe that prayers offered here with a sincere heart are invariably answered.
During the Urs, the Dargah complex served as a beautiful testament to Hindu-Muslim unity and mutual brotherhood. People from various communities arrived together to pay tribute to Makhdoom Baba. This scene of social harmony and mutual goodwill conveys a powerful message of coexistence.
A fair held within the Dargah complex during the Urs remained lively throughout the day. Children enjoyed various rides, while women gathered at stalls selling cosmetics, household goods, and food items. Devotees who traveled from far and wide not only paid their respects at the shrine but also thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of the fair. By evening, the fairgrounds were bustling with crowds. According to the Urs Organizing Committee, a special sermon (*taqrir*) and *fateha* (prayers) will be held on Thursday at 8:00 PM, marking the final day of the 777th annual Urs, which runs from October 27 to 29. Following this, the traditional "Dam Madad" ritual will be performed at 4:00 AM the next morning. There is palpable enthusiasm among the devotees regarding these events.
In anticipation of large crowds at the Urs and the accompanying fair, the administration has implemented extensive security arrangements. Magistrates and police personnel have been deployed throughout the Dargah complex and the fairgrounds. Security personnel are maintaining constant surveillance to ensure that devotees do not face any difficulties and that the event concludes peacefully.
