ARA----------------------------A significant revelation has emerged following a police investigation into an alleged shooting incident near Chandwa Mor, within the jurisdiction of the Nawada police station in Ara. Scientific and technical analysis, combined with a thorough review of CCTV footage, has confirmed that no gunfire took place at the scene. However, the police are conducting a serious investigation into the attempted chain-snatching.

According to the information received, Sushil Kumar Pandey—a teacher residing in DS Kothi, Uma Nagar—had gone out to buy milk on the morning of October 29. While he was returning, two individuals on a Pulsar 220 motorcycle attempted to snatch the gold chain from his neck. Failing in their attempt, the two perpetrators fled the scene.

In his formal complaint, the victim stated that the perpetrators had fired a shot while fleeing. In an initial statement, it was also mentioned that the individual riding pillion had attempted to fire a weapon, but it resulted in a misfire. Upon receiving the information, the Nawada police arrived at the location and inspected the site.

The police conducted a meticulous examination of the scene but found no evidence of gunfire or the use of any weapons. Subsequently, the police reviewed footage from nearby CCTV cameras and initiated a technical investigation.

According to the police, a detailed analysis of the CCTV footage and scientific investigation confirmed that no shooting occurred at the scene. Consequently, the suspicion that a shot had been fired could not be substantiated.

Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Sadar-1) Sushil Kumar stated that the police took immediate action upon receiving reports of the attempted chain-snatching near Chandwa Mor. No evidence of gunfire was discovered at the site. Further review of CCTV footage and technical analysis confirmed that no shots were fired. The investigation into other aspects of the case remains ongoing.
