ONE CHILD LABOURER RESCUED

BUXAR---------------------------The district administration has intensified its campaign to curb child labor and protect children from exploitation. On Wednesday, acting on the instructions of the District Magistrate, enforcement teams conducted simultaneous inspections across various establishments and workplaces in both the Buxar and Dumraon subdivisions. During this operation, one child laborer was rescued from the Itarhi block.

The enforcement team—constituted by the Department of Labour Resources and Migrant Workers' Welfare—included the district’s Labour Enforcement Officers, police personnel from the Itarhi police station, and representatives from the 'Kanhai Shukla Seva Sansthan' organization. The objective of this campaign is to effectively prohibit child labor and safeguard children's rights by protecting them from exploitation.

Following the rescue, the child was handed over to the District Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Buxar, after completing the necessary formalities. The committee will now take appropriate steps, in accordance with the law, to ensure the child's protection, care, and rehabilitation.

Legal action, including the filing of an FIR, will be initiated against the employer found guilty in this case. Furthermore, relevant departments will take necessary measures to ensure the child's rehabilitation and the protection of their interests.

The district administration has made it clear that the campaign to eradicate child labor will continue. The administration’s goal is to liberate children from labor and exploitation, while providing them with access to education, protection, and opportunities for a better future. Citizens are also urged to report any instances of child labor to the relevant department or the administration so that timely action can be taken.
